Weekly Update, May 9-13

Varsity Baseball season came to a conclusion on Wednesday in the Regional Quarterfinals as the Eagles fell to Miami Christian 8-2. The Eagles have much to be proud of this season, playing a very tough schedule, and has great things to look forward to!

Middle School Golf came out as Champions in their season ending tournament! The Eagles shot individual low scores for boys and girls and the overall lowest team score. Congratulations to our Middle School Eagles Golf team!

The Athletic Department would like to thank everyone that has been involved in making the 2021-22 Athletic year a great one! 

JCS Athletics will be recognizing our student-athletes in the Varsity Sports Awards that will be announced tomorrow 5/17 via the Athletics Instagram page. On Wednesday 5/18, award winners will be able to pickup their awards during middle and high school lunches. Lastly, the Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards along with the Booster Club Scholarship Recipients will be announced on Friday, May 20th during the High School Excellence Awards. 

Be on the look out in the next couple of weeks for an e-newsletter containing information on summer athletic programs and eligibility for the 2022-23 school year.

Inaugural Chili Cook-Off

How does your chili recipe stack up?

The Booster Club invites you to participate in our Inaugural Chili Cook-Off.  This community event, is free to enter and participate.  We are looking for the best chilis, so start working on your recipe to show us what you've got on March 24!

Weekly Update, 10/25-10/29

Volleyball

The Eagles defeated Edgewood High School as the lower seed in Tuesday's Regional Quarterfinal Matchup! They advance to the Regional Semis where they will have a District Championship rematch vs. Benjamin. The game will be Tuesday night at 7pm @ Benjamin. LETS GO EAGLES!!

Golf

The Boys' Golf team season came to a conclusion on Tuesday in their District match. The boys had a great season and have much to look forward to!!  Congratulations to Coach Silvestri and the team on their many accomplishments this season.

Cross Country

Many Eagles will be advancing in running in the Regional meet including the boys team who placed 3rd overall in their District! From the girls team, Ada Robinson and Rebekah Ambrosius  placed in the top 20 and will be advancing to Regionals as well. Regional meet is Friday 11/5 at 8:30am at South County Regional Park.

Soccer

MS Boys played their first pre season game Thursday @ All Saints and lost a close game 1-0. Next game is Tuesday at Atlantic Christian at 4pm.

Football

Eagles advance to the SSAC semi final game at Mount Dora Christian Academy after defeating Legacy Charter 40-27 on Thursday night! Brian LaFrance and Alex Rosario each recorded 3 touchdowns on the night! Eagles travel to Mount Dora Christian for a Friday night game at 7pm.
