We are thrilled to announce the FHSAA Board of Directors has approved a return to-play date of August 24th. Jupiter Christian School Athletics will be communicating with you on Monday, our return-to-play plan. We will be scheduling a virtual athletic orientation that will provide valuable information required prior to participation in any athletic activities. We will not be hosting any athletic related activities the week of August 17th and will use this time for necessary FHSAA COVID-related education. Please see below for the full FHSAA media release. The Florida High School Athletic Association's Board of Directors voted Friday to allow member schools to begin fall sports on August 24th, 2020. Carlos Ochoa, Athletic Director at Hialeah Gardens High School in Miami-Dade, motioned to approve Option 1 presented to the Board with the caveats that schools would not have a minimum contest limit to be eligible for State Series play and that schools may opt out of the State Series by September 18th with the ability to form their own regional schedule upon approval from the FHSAA. The motion was seconded by Wewahitchka Athletic Director, Bobby Johns and ultimately passed, 11-5. The Board also voted to require all coaches to view the NFHS Course "COVID-19 for Coaches and Administrators" and to make a Covid waiver form available to schools. Executive Director, George Tomyn, says he is happy student-athletes finally have the chance to compete again and states the Association is eager to work with schools and school districts to help them convene participation at the appropriate times.

The Board of Directors has scheduled another meeting for Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10 a.m. and it will be held at the Best Western Gateway Grand in Gainesville, FL.
*FHSAA will follow State, Local and CDC guidelines. Space will be limited and maximum capacity will be strictly enforced. Public input received via e-mail prior to 8 a.m. on August 14th will be shared with all board members for consideration. To provide input via e-mail, please e-mail: email@example.com. Public input will also be accepted in-person. Individuals wishing to speak, must sign up on site, prior to the start of the meeting.
Dear Athletic Families,
We are counting the days until students return to campus and preparing for their safe arrival. In our communication on July 23, 2020, we announced tryout dates for fall programs. Since then, the FHSAA Board of Directors amended their original decision to begin fall sports on August 24, 2020.
