PGA Master Teaching Professional Kevin Compare Named Head Coach

Golf Tryouts Begin Monday, August 7 at Jupiter Country Club

The Jupiter Christian School golf program has announced the hiring of PGA Master Teaching Professional Mr. Kevin Compare to lead the golf program. Compare will assume the role as Head Golf Coach while Ms. Casey Mitchell, Director of Golf at North Palm Beach CC, will assist with oversight of the Girls’ Varsity and Boys’ Junior Varsity teams. Coach Compare comes to JCS with the following credentials:
  • PGA Master Professional in Instructor
  • Faculty PGA Master Professional Program
  • Instructor at The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL
  • Golf Professional since 1981
  • Class “A” PGA Professional
  • Past Director of Instruction PGA Learning Center, Port St. Lucie, FL
  • 3-time Nominated Top 100 Teacher in America
  • Founder and Host of the Martin County (Florida) Pro Celebrity
  • Skins Game benefiting the Martin County Special Olympics
  • One of the founders of the Martin County (Florida) Junior Golf Association
  • Instructional Coordinator PGA of America National Academy of Golf
  • Instructional staff member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Junior Golf Camps
  • One of the most well know trick-shot exhibitionists in golf history with his nationally recognized act Divot the Clown.
"I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Jupiter Christian Golf Program to the next level.  I am looking forward to helping each of our student athletes to become the best they can be, not only as golfers but to bring out their best in all areas of their lives," commented Coach Compare.
Coach Mitchell is the Director of Golf at North Palm Beach Country Club. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality from Florida State University and received her Certification in Golf Course Management. She carried out her internships at two prestigious resorts, PGA National and The Breakers, where she designed a junior camp program at Breakers Rees Jones. She became passionate about tournaments at PGA National, and helped to run such tournaments as the Optimist International Junior Golf Event and several AJGA events.
Tryouts for the boys’ varsity & junior varsity and girls’ varsity teams will begin on Monday, August 7th at 5pm. Players grades 6-12 are eligible to tryout; however, middle school players who are not selected will be encouraged to play on our MS team in the spring. We strongly encourage female students of all experience levels to attend and help us grow our ladies golf program!
