Burke Sweeps Postseason Honors

JCS well represented on spring All-Area teams

Senior Reed Burke completed his baseball career at JCS by having one of the most prolific seasons in school history. Burke, who will be attending Florida Southern on a baseball scholarship, was among the county’s best in almost every statistical category (1.91 ERA, 73K, .392 BA, 29 H). What makes his dominant play even more impressive was the high caliber of competition he excelled against. The Eagles played one of the toughest schedules in the area, facing the likes of some of the area’s best teams such as Dwyer, Suncoast, Benjamin, Saint John Paul II and Highlands Christian. In recognition of his exemplary performance on and off the diamond, Burke has received the following postseason honors:
