Weekly Update: October 3-8, 2022

Cross Country:  Saturday, Varsity Cross Country was up bright and early and ready for their 5k race at the Benjamin Invitational.  We had 4 Top 20 finishers and the Boys Team came in 5th overall.  

Andrew Stanek - 7th grade - 19:49.20 (15th)
Frankie Flora - 7th grade - 19:49.50 (16th)

Maya Muniz - 7th grade - 24:57.60 (16th)
Camilla Waychowsky - 7th grade - 25:05.80 (17th)

Football:  Varsity Football played Somerset Prep for the Homecoming Game on Friday!  Eagles came out ready to play and had a 49-6 victory over the Hurricanes.  Entering their Bye Week, Eagle Football will be back on Thursday, October 20 for their Senior Night game, hosting Tradition Prep at 6:30pm

Middle School hosted their first home game of the season on Thursday and beat Boca Raton Christian 36-0.  With 3 cancelled games due to weather, their season has been short, but great as they have a 2-1 record going into their last game this season on Thursday.  Come out on Thursday, 10/13 and watch MS Football at HOME at 4pm.  

Men's Golf:  Varsity hosted Pine School last Thursday with Will Keiley placing 2nd and Jack Weisman placing 3rd.  The Eagles start the week today with a home Match against Palm Beach Gardens HS and another home match on Wednesday vs Cardinal Newman.  

Women's GolfVarsity is hosting a TriMeet this Thursday and travels to Mirasol on Friday to play against Dwyer.  Lady Eagles have had a few match cancellations due to weather and are looking forward to being back on the courses.  

SwimmingVarsity Swimming has a FULL week!  With the Palm Beach County Championship Meets being rescheduled from a couple of weeks ago, the Eagles now have:  Monday - PBC Prelims, Tuesday - @ TKA and Friday - PBC Finals.   They'll have a week to rest before Districts on October 26. 

Volleyball:  Varsity Volleyball is continuing to turn heads as they wrap up a great regular season!  Last week, the lady Eagles beat South Fork in 3 and Westminter Academy in 4, bringing their record to 12-5.  Senior Night is tonight (10/10) at 6:30 as the Eagles host Somerset Prep.  Tomorrow, Varsity wraps up regular season with a game at Seminole Ridge at 6pm.  Districts start on October 17 - dates, times and locations of post season will be announced after rankings are released.  

Junior Varsity has their last game tonight at 5:30pm vs Somerset Prep.  And Middle School Red & Black wrapped up their seasons last week.   Great seasons, ladies!  

FCA Huddles:  JCS Alum and FCA Rep, Sarah Narbone (c/o 2017), lead a time of fellowship and devotions with our Middle School and High School student-athletes.  Sarah and other FCA Reps will be meeting each Monday this year.  If you haven't already come to one, make plans to join us at the next one:  October 10.

Senior Nights:
This week begins our Senior Night celebrations.  Please join us in celebrating our fall senior-athletes.

Swimming: 10/10 at 6:30pm in the Gym (pending timing of Meet)
Volleyball:  10/10 at 6:30pm in the Gym
Women's Golf:  10/13 at 3:15pm prior to Match
Cheer:  10/20 at half time of Football Game
Football:  10/20 at half time of Game

All home athletic contests and many of our away contests will have cash-less gates.  Please be prepared to purchase your tickets before arriving to the game.  For JCS home games, purchase an Eagle Fan Club annual pass and simplify your game tickets.   If an opponent is using an online ticket - we will share that information on our Instagram the day of the game!
