Weekly Update, 11/29-12/3

Soccer

Varsity Women's soccer went 2-1 on the week defeating Berean Christian and Highlands Christian both by a score of 8-0. Monday, the lady eagles dropped a tough game to Cardinal Newman 3-1. 

Varsity Men's Soccer tied with Glades Day on Thursday 0-0. They are back in action at home on December 13th vs. FAU High School.

Basketball

Varsity Boys had a strong week defeating Berean Christian 50-21 on Tuesday and going 2-1 in the Highlands Christian Holiday Tournament over the weekend. They will be back on the home court Friday 12/10 vs. St. John Paul II at 7pm!

Varsity Girls won their home opener on Tuesday defeating Port St. Lucie High School 35-24! They have a big week ahead with 3 games at home on Monday, Tuesday and Friday all at 5:30pm.

JV Boys picked up a big win at Berean Christian Tuesday winning 72-34! Next game: Tuesday 12/7 at home vs. Cardinal Newman and Friday 12/10 vs. St John Paul II both at 4pm.

We hope to see you out at the home games supporting the Eagles!!

 

Eagles Football Players Recognized to SSAC All Conference Team

Three Eagles Football players have been named to the SSAC All Conference Team.

Congratulations to Seniors Brian LaFrance (WR) and Anthony Frigo (OL), and junior Jeremiah Augustin (DL) on receiving this recognition from the SSAC Conference!

LaFrance finished the season with 44 receptions, 1115 yards and a team best 17 Touchdowns.  Jeremiah was a force on the Defensive line all year with 29 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and a team high 10 sacks while averaging almost 4 tackles per game. Frigo was the anchor of the Offensive line all year and played a vital role in protecting the QBs all year as Offensive Tackle.

The future is bright for these three student athletes and their hard work and desire to improve all season deserves to be recognized!

Weekly Update, November 15-19

Basketball

MS Girls lost to King's Academy 26-22 in a tough game on Thursday! Next game: Tuesday 11/30 at home vs. Benjamin.

Varsity Boys Basketball went 2-0 in the JCS Preseason Tournament. The Eagles defeated Palm Beach Central and John I. Leonard.

On Friday 11/26, Eagles lost a close game to Somerset Prep 55-47 in the Hoopsgiving Invitational Tournament at Sagemont School. The Eagles travel to Berean Christian on Tuesday 11/30 for a 7pm tip. Varsity Girls and JV Boys will play at 4:00 and 5:30.

Soccer

Varsity Girls defeated Lake Worth Christian 10-2! Lady Eagles play at home 11/30 vs. Berean Christian and Friday 12/3 at Highlands Christian.

Varsity Boys defeated Trinity Christian 3-1 on Tuesday! Next Game: Thursday 12/2 at home vs. Glades Day and Friday 12/3 @ Atlantic Christian.

Weekly Update, 11/8-11/12

Soccer

MS Boys soccer defeated Atlantic Christian 8-0 on Monday and fell to Rosarian on Tuesday. They will travel to face St. Mark's for their next game on Tuesday.

Varsity Girls Soccer picked up their first win of the season Thursday vs. South Florida Heat 4-0! Next game: Tuesday at Glades Day and at Home Thursday vs. Lake Worth Christian

Varsity Men's Soccer went 2-0 on the week defeating Boca Christian 4-2 on Tuesday and Atlantic Christian 8-0 on Thursday! Next game: Tuesday at Trinity Christian 

Basketball

MS Girls Basketball fell to Rosarian Tuesday. Next game: Tuesday at St. Mark's and Thursday at King's Academy.

Cross Country

Big congratulations to Jacob Stanton and Dylan Webb for running in the State race in Tallahassee on Friday! Out of 227 runners Dylan finished 92nd overall with a time of 18:21 and Jacob placed 114th overall with a time of 18:50!! We are proud of our runners... Great job Dylan and Jacob!!

Weekly Update, 11/1-11/5

Volleyball

The girls' season came to an end Tuesday in the Regional Semi Finals at Benjamin. Our volleyball team had a winning season to remember advancing to the District Finals and the Regional Semi Finals. Congratulations to our Eagles Volleyball team on a great season!

Cross Country

Our Boys team ran in the Regional race on Friday along with Ada Robinson and Rebekah Ambrosius from the girls team. Jacob Stanton and Dylan Webb both qualified for the State race in Tallahassee coming in 11th and 15th place with times of 17:45 and 17:55! Congratulations to these runners and the rest of the team on breaking many records this season!

Basketball

MS Girls Basketball got underway this week with two home games vs. All Saints and Berean Christian. The girls fought hard in both games and look to continue to improve in Tuesday's game @ St. Mark's!

Soccer

The MS Boys Soccer season got underway Thursday in a match with Berean Christian at home. They boys fell to Berean and will look to rebound in their next game Tuesday at St. Mark's.

Our Varsity Soccer teams will kick off their seasons on Tuesday and Thursday as the girls travel to take on the South Florida Heat in Weston and the boys open up against Atlantic Christian at home on Thursday. All games are at 4pm.

Football

Football season came to its conclusion Friday night at Mount Dora Christian. The team has much to be proud of this season finishing with an 8-2 record and advancing to the SSAC Semi Final game. The Eagles have great things to look forward to! Congrats to our Football team on a great season!
