Sam Martorella NO-NO!

By Athletic Department 02/16/2021, 6:45pm EST

Martorella does not allow a hit in 5 inning contest Vs Boca Christian

Jupiter- After dropping two preseason contests by a combined 22-5 run differential, the varsity Eagles' Baseball Club found their offensive mindset in the second inning of Tuesday's home opener versus Boca Raton Christian.

The Eagles pounded out nine of their 12 runs in the home half of the second  inning which was more than enough to support a stellar mound performance by Sam Martorella.

Martorella simply shut down the Blazers tossing all 5 innings of the mercy-ruled outing while stricking out nine, walking none, and not allowing a single hit.

AJ Seymour was the only Eagle with multiple hits (2) as JCS had seven different batters connect for at least a single Tuesday afternoon.  Martorella also helped his own cause going 1-3 at the plate and knocking in two runs along with Alex Rosario and Ethan Bonocore who had each had 2 RBI's.

The Eagles will take to the diamond again Thursday 02.18.21 at 3:30 pm at Benjamin School.
